Brief recap of Family Reunion

The calendar says that July and August are over - yet we had hot and muggy weather last week. In fact, it was warmer than some weeks in July and August. Labor Day has passed; school is back in session; and the Jewish Holidays begin next week.

Although our 55th Frank Family Reunion had a smaller attendance than in the past, it was as warm and vibrant as ever. Only one of the "original first cousins" was present - and that was the oldest - 101 year-old Leo Frank, and he continues to look almost as young as the rest of us.

I have completed arrangements for next year's event - the weekend of June 12-14, 2015 - with the Brunch/Family Meeting on Sunday, June 14. This is the second Sunday - with Father's Day being the following weekend. So mark your calendars now!

Unfortunately, I learned last night that Jack Weiss, the youngest of the "original first cousins", passed away yesterday. I've been told that daughter Amy Brech is handling arrangements for tomorrow's funeral.
